Jenny Boles is a filmmaker and media artist interested in the relationships between landscape, labor, infrastructure, and ecology. Working across observational and experimental film and multi-channel installation, her practice engages archival materials, material histories, and ecologies of place. Her work has been exhibited in festivals and gallery spaces including Antimatter Film Festival, Chicago International, New Orleans Film Festival, Alchemy Arts, Mimesis Documentary Festival, DOXA Documentary Film Festival, Florida Experimental Film Festival, and Chicago Underground. She holds a Ph.D. in History from Indiana University and an MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University, and is an Assistant Professor in the School of Film and Photography at Montana State University.
